Solving Right Triangles

Solving Right Triangles

To solve a right triangle, you must have six measurements: three side lengths and three angle degrees. The three side lengths are given using variables a, b, and c. The three angle measures are given with symbols alpha (Ɑ), beta (𝛽), and the 90° angle box.

ex To solve a right triangle, you must use a combination of Trigonometry, Pythagorean Theorem, and the Triangle Sum. Please review the Solving Right Triangles Module before proceeding.

Below is a calculator that will solve a triangle for you without having to do any calculations. You must enter one angle's degree and one side length, then click submit and it will generate the remaining unknown values.
