Solving Multi-Step Equations

To solve a Multi-Step Equation, there are several steps to solve the equation, namely 3 or 4 calculations or more will be necessary to solve for the variable. PEMDAS and combining like terms play a big role in being able to solve the equation as well.

Rule:
To solve a multi-step equation, move all the terms with a variable in them to the left-hand side of the equal sign. Move all constant terms to the right-hand side of the equal sign. Then, divide both sides of the equation by the number infront of the variable term on the left-side of the equation. Once simplified, you will have your solution. Don't forget to check your answer when done!
